Where'd we leave off?

Tuesday - Christmas Eve Squared. Annual RHSS Christmas Party @ Jenny Lai's freakin humongous mansion near Mississauga Road. Friends, billiards, table tennis, rock band and a ton of food = GREAT PARTY. How am I going to top that?! Remind me, I have this hilarious video I took at the party that must be posted once I get the cable for my camera to upload.

Wednesday - Christmas Eve. Me, Charis and Priscilla went to Oasis for bubbletea and had an intense game of Trouble hahaha. Charis is a sore loser! T.J. invited us over to his place so we went over at 1 a.m. and played this wicked fun game for the Wii called Samba de Amigo, foosball, air hockey, DDR (he has METAL mats like in the arcades!), had a jam session with the guitar/piano/drums which I aptly named "Real Life Rock Band" and then karaoke until early morning. What a way to spend Christmas Eve!

Thursday - Christmas Day! Tony & Lilian, Quang, Marcia and the kids came over and prepared a non-traditional Christmas dinner for my parents: bisque followed by prime rib steak. Not turkey, but it still tasted amazing. Also, I FINALLY - after one arduous week - finished the movie of my parents' trip to Vietnam. Me, Tony and my parents stayed up until late together watching the movie and I was happy that they really enjoyed it. As my dad says, "Success!!!"

Friday - Boxing Day - Boxing Day hell as I woke up at 11 and scrambled out of my bed to get to Guess Outlet with my brother before the sale was over (at noon). When I got there, the jacket I wanted was sold out. I went home and then I went out again this time to Sherway Gardens where finding parking was kind of hellish. We went to Maki Maki after at like 5 and then I came home and forced down another dinner afterwards with my parents.

What comes next? Well, Charis is going to New York tomorrow even when we were supposed to go on our Blue Mountain Trip... so I guess I'm going to Montreal instead for a couple of days. Then,

NEW YEAR'S EVE SQUARED!!!

My parents came home from Vietnam early and I came to see them for the three days prior to my last exam (you can say I had a three day extended holiday). On my last day, I hung out with Becky and did the majority of my Christmas shopping at the Laurier bookstore. I bought my niece and nephew these cute boy/girl Laurier sweaters, and got my parents mom/dad Laurier mugs. What? They already have their GPS, coffee maker, expensive items, etc. from me. What can I say, I have no $$$ this year.

I drove back home and then watched The Day The World Stood Still with Howard and friends. Since I've been back, I've done minimal shopping - I just checked out the new Dollarama and bought some Christmas tree decorations. I stayed at home with my parents, doing chores, shovelling snow, I put up the *explicit deleted* Christmas tree, and I spent the majority of my time working on this *explicit deleted* 300-clip, 3 hr long movie of my parents' trip to Vietnam on to a DVD. I guess you can say that is my true Christmas gift to them (they definitely will appreciate it).

Friday, as we all know was the catastrophic winter storm that screwed us all over. Saturday night...was stupid. Sunday night, me and my dad went to my oldest brother's house for Christmas dinner and we ate hot pot and I hate hot pot. I spent most of the time playing with the kids and playing Wii sports (eew, I can't believe I wanted one of these). My mom didn't go because she was sick, which she now passed down to both me and my dad so excuse me if I look a little crapalicious for tonight's annual Rick Hansen Christmas party.

Speaking of parties,
I've realized a very important, and almost dangerous issue.

How am I going to fit 33+ people in my house?

me and becky went on a wild adventure tonight, and we took some pictures along the way.

here is us under the sea. i found it difficult to breathe under water but becky was busy being excited for all the fishies.

we took a walk on the moon. but seriously, the moon is overrated

we scaled a mountain

and then chilled on the beach for a little R&R

and ended the day sightseeing at the eiffel tower

i bet your day wasn't all that exciting!

i had a great weekend. had a killer time celebrating Cathy's birthday at Mortys with the best wings and beer in town! i got my broken laptop back from repairs, and it's almost as good as new. yesterday, i spent the day at a friend's watching movies and kicking ass at wii. at night, me and a group of people went to see the Russel Peters show in Kitchener (only show in Ontario people!) and it was freaking hilarious. afterwards, we went to mike's new place (jacey's mike) and played poker and DDR until late like stereotypical asians. and right now, me and Becky had our regular movie-day in watching Wicker Park. But most of all, the best thing... I have Mondays off! have fun at school tomorrow suckers

although this summer has been by far the crappiest summer of my life, it seems to be wrapping up quite nicely. today is my last day of work, and the thought of not having to come to work anymore is one of my favourite feelings of the whole summer.

not that i had a bad time, it has just been very time consuming. and i hate the feeling of coming home from work feeling exhausted, and then crash in front of my TV for the rest of the night. my summer has been very "blah" although there have been notable highlights.

i'm not dreading school because i feel like i've never left. i'm actually excited to get full access to internet again, and im giddy at the prospect of redecorating my Waterloo room. let's hit up ikea, people.

YAY SUMMER!!!

as to quote Peter Parker, "I'M BACK! I'M BACK!" (and then he falls off the building and hurts his back).

i honestly don't know how i did it, but i worked at it for days and configured a whole bunch of things, clicked a lot of buttons and installed who knows what... but my Wireless Network Connection is back and that means i've returned to the world of the internet.

what does that mean? it means i'm going to be in your FACE. at ALL TIMES. SO PREPARE.

** uploaded photo album!

yesterday, me and my mom checked out the new wal-mart super centre. we split up for ten minutes, and managed to lose each other for another half hour or so. at least i'm pretty confident i know my way around the place after spending so much time walking everywhere looking for my mom. here's a word to the wise: never split up in the super centre if you don't have the convenience of a cellphone.

this week is going to be a hectic week. i'll let you know how it pans out

...was a whole lot better and less dramatic than mother's day (overall).

charis and vanessa went with me to get my dress back from dixie mall. i am finally relieved i found something to wear for the wedding after this endless and futile search for dresses.

my dad was drunk so he spent almost the rest of the night napping it off. my brother got me a camera from fuji:

it's an updated version from my black camera (finepix z2) and it's pretty cool

here are some pictures from yesterday, aka father's day for only the luong family:

my mom pretending to eat and posing while i test out my new cam-cam

my dad acting silly before he disappeared to take his night-long nap

if you want to see more pictures, check out my new photo album which i linked to the side. happy father's day everybody

fucking fuckers didn't send in my computer for repairs as per my assumption, they only ordered a new adapter. my laptop was at bestbuy the whole damn time. idiots! the new adapter doesn't fit into the D/C pin because it's broken. idiots! where's my laptop now? in for REPAIRS... which is where it should have been in the FIRST PLACE. now i have to wait another two weeks. STUPID. stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid idiots stupid stupid stupid

*at least i got brand spanking new beautiful AC adapter for free (well, under my warranty) even when i broke it myself teeheeheeheeheee!
** one more repair = FREE LAPTOP. note: must break laptop before june

it can be a big pain up the ass waiting for best buy geek squad idiots to fix your computer. no one seems to know what the hell they're doing, and they show no good customer service whatsoever...

okay ira's here, i have to give her computer back.

i took a shower. then i made food and now my hair smells like gross. oil splashed on my face and my hands and it burns. i ran out of pasta so i have no food for myself and now i'm hungry. i'm crampy, my stomach hurts. i forgot to take my pills. i don't have a laptop so i have to study at school. it's 12am and i have 80% of course material to cover by tomorrow for the exam because i was studying for stupid finance today which just ended at 9:30pm. i'm sleepy. my eyes are burning. and i am writing these personal entries only for a fucking creep - who went out of his way to find my blog which has only been active for the past ONE year, while we stopped being in contact nearly FOUR years ago - to read for his sickening pleasure. really really sad and disappointing. does it really get better?

was good.
the christmas tree is up.
vanessa finally turned 20 =)
but snow squall sucked,
and i dropped my laptop so it's in for repairs
i wish only good things for my family, for everyone to get past their respective hardships and get better
and for me, to do well on my exams

today, i went grocery shopping.

made a website.

i learned about the unabridged history of the pentecostal church

and had chowamushi (sp.) for the first time.

and you people are actually signing up just to comment?

i've been doing nothing but studying. i can honestly say i have not studied this much since the first semester of grade 12. and accounting is something i love so i don't have the overwhelming urge to stab my textbook repeatedly. what i'm most afraid of is information overload - i know the stuff, but am i able to extract the information i need when i need it?

here's a funny story, i check the balance on my cellphone and it says i have $113.60. this is a prepaid phone and i have not yet made any deposits. i panic a little because i'm afraid they'll charge me 113.60 to my bill so i call them up and turns out there was some technical error. yeah... they took away my money but they gave me back $25 so it's as if i didn't make any calls at all this month! score for marilyn

thanks charis for lending me her laptop to finish off my assignment last night. you never really realize how convenient and important it is to have a computer around with readily available internet - seriously. i thought i could go without a computer and internet, no problem - but you have to constantly work yourself around everything and it's aggravating.

these days, i can't wake up in the morning to go to work. i've been going to the library after work lately and i come home exhausted but i still stay up doing work and i go to work a zombie. i seriously don't want to be here right now, i don't want to be around people... i just need sleep and space.

please stop talking smack about me. i don't even fucking see people anymore... i don't do anything, i live in my own zombie world minding my business and people are still talking smack. i've been nothing but nice and understanding and open and trying hard not to cry or to be pissy or stubborn or grudge-holding (with valid reason to be so) - but i don't even know why anymore, so go die

thanks for all the birthday wishes, and being awesome friends! i never pictured the day i would get a cellphone... (i guess no ds lite foam protector case with additional accessories then). oh and thank you for the lovely cake, i enjoy eating spiderman's face.

for those that i honestly forgot to invite, forgive me - i had no time and no means of communication and planning was all last minute and disorganized

for those who could not make it, don't worry about it - shit happens, so smile.
