as you can see, a career is not a part of my dreams. it's merely a means to an end. and if i end seeing these beautiful things of the world, then that is my complete.

I am sad at this situation but I am not depressed.

I am downtrodden but I am not giving up.
If that's not willpower, I don't know what is!

I live a blessed and fortunate life and I won't forget that.

"There is no education like adversity."

Some idiot told me that we could do whatever we want (if it was realistic.) I questioned it but that idiot is living proof that we could do it, as long as we:

#1. have the MOTIVATION to do it
#2. establish reasonable GOALS for ourselves
#3. ACHIEVE them

I asked, "What if something gets in the way?"
The answer is: they won't if you don't let them.

I've always had dreams but I've always let things get in the way of me achieving them. This is how people stray. They lament about their pathetic lives, over how they can't control the bad things that happen to them, or they simply hide from their failures and refuse to confront them... but all of these people have ONE thing in common:

they don't do anything about it.

And as one of my favourite quote goes, "Those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it."

There's ALWAYS something you can do. Some options take more risks than others. I took the risk to go to Korea and from it, I got to experience the beauties of the world, people, life.

I've made a lot of career damaging mistakes, all starting from high school up to the end of University. I can keep crying about not getting into Schulich, or how I did not make Co-op, but it won't do diddly squat. I can't hide anymore, or else I will be living my mistakes for the rest of my life. I am done putting my dreams on the back burner... this is MY TIME and I will have control over my own future.

I've seen and experienced many beautiful things in the world... but so what? Keep moving on. Never stop exploring (right, Steph?)

This job hunt is harrowing. This is my schedule:

  • I wake up anywhere from 8:30-9:30AM feeling fresh and ready to conquer the world
  • Eat/apply for jobs (5 or 6) until I can't find any more
  • Job search, but this becomes lackluster quickly because it's all the same crap from all the same places. Do this for another couple of hours to the point where I get frustrated and say, "I want to gouge out my own eyes!!!"
  • Spend time looking out the window, playing monopoly on my iPhone, babysitting children, lying on my bed, contemplate prostitution, checking my phone every 5 min to see if there's any missed calls, and looking out the window some more...
  • Eat/complain about applying for jobs and then getting a sudden burst of energy to job hunt again!
  • Job hunt finding a whole new batch of positions all for the picking! Do this until late night until you are sick of life, watch a show and fall asleep anywhere from 12 to 12:30PM
...
then START AGAIN!

I don't care if you just voted, just keep it to your damn self. It's wonderful that you are exercising your right to vote, but making a big deal out of it shows that you are more concerned with the attention you get from doing it rather than the actual purpose of the act.

Also, don't need to hear everyone's snarky comments about Osama Bin Laden's death as if you actually are concerned with what's happening in the world. F twitter, youtube, facebook and all of these social medias that gives these idiots a voice. I will give due respect if someone says something valuable otherwise save your breath.
