i am not going to new york anymore. there were five of us and four spots, and either way we cut it, it just didn't feel right leaving anyone behind. the point is, i have no succint winter plans - just a conglomerate of ideas that i am afraid might not make the cut.

roadtrip to montreal, still sounds good. rent a car and just get lost in montreal. new year's eve spent with my best friends, i wouldn't end the year any other way (actually a new year's kiss would be nice but that's pushing it). can you believe that christmas is just a couple of days away?

every year my high school friends throw a huge christmas party, and this is my first time ever not being able to make it. our christmas dinner is on the 23rd. it's difficult, having three brothers with lives and families of their own, finding the time to get our family all together for dinner. it pisses me off that christmas is always two days before christmas, or thanksgiving is a week before thanksgiving, and that my brothers are never there on mother's day - but they show up the day before actual mother's day, but then it's not even mother's day so it doesn't count! my mother is never priority to them (it's always the wife's family who comes first every year) and she doesn't mind - but i mind. anyway, the point is, i can't go because for me, tomorrow is christmas.

that's alright, though. my break is going well so far, getting time to spend with my closest friends here and there. at least i get to keep busy and see a little of everyone everyday. merry christmas people
