I've been watching Downton Abbey, a British period series which resolves around a manor and the lives of the rich and the poor who live in it.

I am so surprised this was getting so much critical acclaim, because I didn't think the public would be so receptive of a period show.

I love it and now I have another show to obsess about. I am a sucker for really good tales of romance and chivalry (not the cheap Notebook crap) and I can't help thinking why I was ever born in this decade. Then I think... if I was in Downton Abbey, I probably would've been one of the bitter maids, admiring the fancy lives of the upper class.

Anywho, this show is great but then again I am a girl with a love for period dramas. It is a quick witted show loosely about the disparity between the rich and the poor, with a huge cast of talented actors, storylines that are not cheesy, and a really powerful love story.

I am not going to lie, if I ever find a Matthew in my life, it will be complete. The higher precedence is set for all my future boyfriends.

Who is this guy??! You ask. WHO!??! Only the guy who played Gus Pike in my FAVOURITE CHILDHOOD TV show Road to Avonlea. He came to UW to promote his movie "Sandstorm" about the persecution of falun gong in China.

007. Meredith said, "Oh god!"

Izzie is decked in her prom dress, reminiscent of the season 2 finale where she boards the elevator before discovering that her fiance, Denny, has died.

Three years later, Izzie and George are both on the brink of death. The elevator door opens and it is George standing there, waiting for her. Her best friend. She smiles because she is relieved to see him. She is ready to die.

In the OR, Hunt shouts, "We're losing him!" George is already dead. He is just waiting to escort his best friend to the afterlife.

But the chief ignores her DNR and they start bringing her back to life. She realizes that it is not yet her time to step off the elevator.

Izzie is going to live. For now, at least.

Amazing two hour season finale. But I hate how they left it to my interpretation to satisfy the ambiguity caused by Grey's Anatomy's highly unfulfilling cliffhanger. Until Season 6...

Watch the video below to experience the last defining moment of the season.

when really good things happen, bad things happen! ARGH, get me out of this hole.

So this thing has been going around facebook for a while, but since I don't write notes on facebook, I decided to do one here.

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you.

1. No one knows me.

2. I am not as sad as everyone thinks I am.

3. I only drink for the sake of getting drunk.

4. Jane and Finch, born and raised.

5. My arms are crooked and bend in weird ways.

6. I love RPGs.

7. I had a speech impediment as a child where I couldn't pronounce "sh," "ch," "r" and "w" words.

8. I was never in a relationship that lasted more than 8 months.

9. I like High School Musical.

10. My biggest pet peeve is being ignored.

11. I can't keep a secret for the life of me.

12. I don't know what I am doing with my life and frankly, it doesn't bother me.

13. I eat popcorn with chopsticks. Add some cajun to that

14. I hate talking on the phone.

15. When people hurt me, I always have to do something stupid to myself.

16. I hate how people now like How I Met Your Mother and "I'm Yours." Likewise in grade 9, I hated how people started liking anime.

17. My life dream is to watch a Westlife concert in Dublin, Ireland.

18. I like beer now.

19. When I was born, my dad was 51.

20. I am trying to learn the phrase "Your ass looks big" in every language.

21. Ghosts scare me.

22. I never sleep with a mirror in front of my bed. Or my bed facing towards a window.

23. Elyna is a character I draw and write fantasy stories about. Not my alter ego.

24. In my life I've stolen three things: 1) A skeleton pog from my childhood best friend, Michelle, 2) A Coors beer cup from Morty's, 3) The recycling bins from next door three days ago

25. I am never changing my facebook picture until I get another picture with Spider-man.

although this summer has been by far the crappiest summer of my life, it seems to be wrapping up quite nicely. today is my last day of work, and the thought of not having to come to work anymore is one of my favourite feelings of the whole summer.

not that i had a bad time, it has just been very time consuming. and i hate the feeling of coming home from work feeling exhausted, and then crash in front of my TV for the rest of the night. my summer has been very "blah" although there have been notable highlights.

i'm not dreading school because i feel like i've never left. i'm actually excited to get full access to internet again, and im giddy at the prospect of redecorating my Waterloo room. let's hit up ikea, people.

YAY SUMMER!!!
