This article perfectly incapsulates everything I'm feeling right now: tired, burnt out, spiritually low, spread too thin, resentful and not a cheerful giver.

It seems like everyone demands too much out of me, whether it be at work, with my parents, or my friends. At the same time, I do too much for everybody and I spread myself too thin. It's not that I feel resentment of people not doing things for me since I feel pretty independent and rarely ask others for help (excepy maybe Michael when I force him to do my dishes.) The problem is that I'm not setting my boundaries. It is impossible for me to be there for everybody all of the time. I've always had a hard time saying no to people because I don't want to let them down but also, because I'm afraid if I do, I will lose them. It's not selfish to say no, to retreat and take some time yourself because in that time, you can heal and recuperate. If you don't, you let yourself get fatigued, bogged down by other people, and you start doing things out of compliance and not out of your own free will. In the end, it makes you resent the people who ask for things.

God said that when you give, give cheerfully. I've beem giving a lot lately but I don't feel at all cheerful. Maybe it's time to retreat and take some time for myself, spend a little more time with God and just mentally and physically recover.

Thank my Lord because you are always around me, listening to my prayers and rewarding me so generously. I was feeling down but Lord, you picked me up so quickly. I was weak and frail and now I feel strong and empowered. It's so funny when you can clearly see the devil tempting you and angering you by targeting your weaknesses, and how simple it is to escape that evil by just going to God. It is so incredibly clear to me. It just works, every single time, and God just once again proves how real he is through these little acts of faith.

I am happy. I feel good right now. I feel strong and confident. I feel loved and respected. Thank you for these blessings.

Designed, created and painted a wooden box to hold and display a glass chess set. This is an incredible, thoughtful, meaningful gift. Not only is this exactly what I've always wanted, I am just so touched that you spent so much time and effort making this for me. What a genius idea! It is so beautiful. I am so speechless at how perfect this is.

This beats that dollar store wooden box Clinton gave me for my 18th birthday.

Now we don't have to play chess on my bed with the pieces falling everywhere.

I set it up just to take pictures and now I don't ever want to put it away.

What did I do to deserve you?

If there is one thing I know, God will never fail me. I am down but my Lord will bring me back up again. The enemy knows my weaknesses and finds every crack in my frail armor to disillusion me but my Father is stronger than him. My Father will protect me, for He will never give me anything that I could not handle. So I pray to God that I will get through this. When you start something, you follow it through to the end. This is what the Lord has been screaming into my ears. It applies to this relationship. It applies to Church and Life groups. It applies to my softball league. It applies to my friendships. It applies to moving to Ottawa. It applies to my decision to follow Jesus altogether. I will not quit, for YOU have bigger plans for me when I wholeheartedly follow you.

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

There is so much more to be done in life. The opportunities are endless.

In terms of travelling, of course there are so many places that I would love to go and see, but if I don't get the opportunity to travel in the next couple of years, I will be alright. What I love more than travelling is having a stable lifestyle. I know the two can be contradicting, but I would not want to spend time in another country knowing that the home I will eventually return to is in a state of volatility. It's only when that stable lifestyle becomes redundant and unchanging will it prompt me to do something different with my life. So for travelling, I would love to go to the Greek Islands or Hawaii or Europe or the Middle East, but I don't have that same itch to go and spend money that I used to when I was 21.

I would like to buy a house. It's hard to save up for something when all your money goes to rent and other associated costs of living on your own. It would be so nice to have a big kitchen and open space to furnish and call home.

I have to learn something new. I sort of did that when I started playing softball. I'm glad I did because I found something that I had fun doing and it only took me until the age of 26 to figure it out. It would be nice to get back into some of my hobbies, whether it be learning a new language, learning to swim, learning to play guitar, writing my horror screenplay or having some sort of creative outlet.

Where I am in life, I'm not going to lie, makes me very content. I have the job of my dreams, a broken family that is becoming less and less broken, and people in my life who I love and who love me. All of the struggles I've been through have been overcome through my faith in Christ that He would follow through, and He has in every aspect of my life. I am so happy to be where I am and I am looking forward to continuing on and accomplishing even bigger and greater things.
